This list spotlights 40 people under the age of 40 who are helping define where Louisville is headed—and who you should know now. They come from different industries, neighborhoods, and backgrounds, but share a common thread: each is actively shaping the city’s future through leadership, innovation, creativity, and impact.

These are founders and builders, artists and advocates, operators and organizers—people creating momentum in business, culture, civic life, technology, education, and beyond. Some are already well known; others are just beginning to break through. All are influencing how Louisville grows, evolves, and competes on a national stage.

This is not a lifetime achievement list. It’s about trajectory, relevance, and real-world influence right now. Each person included is under 40 and making meaningful contributions that extend beyond their own success to the broader community.

Consider this a snapshot of Louisville’s next generation of leadership—and a preview of the people who will shape the city for years to come
